About AlignEQ
Most org problems aren't bad people. They're good people in the wrong seat, or reporting lines with structural friction. Both are invisible on a normal org chart — and predictable from behavioural data. AlignEQ exists to make that visible, and to explain every call from the evidence.
Our mission
We take each person's behavioural profile and compare it to what their position actually demands. Then we read the whole reporting structure as a system — where fit is strong, where a line carries friction, where someone is holding a seat by working against their own pattern. The point isn't a score. It's a clear, defensible picture of where to look, and why.
The thesis
A behavioural profile isn't good or bad on its own. It only means something next to what a specific seat actually demands.
A title tells you almost nothing. Two CFOs can do completely different work — so the seat is defined by its real demands, measured where possible and labelled assumed where not.
Fit, friction, burnout and succession compound each other. Reading them together, across the reporting structure, is what turns a chart into intelligence.
What we believe
No black-box scores and no invented numbers. Each call names the behavioural traits behind it, what the seat demands, and the recommended action — so you can check the reasoning, not just read the label.
Nobody is perfect in a seat, and scoring light on one trait is a style, not a warning. A confirmed misfit is flagged only on a genuine conflict — an archetype that structurally opposes the role, or someone holding it by working far against their natural pattern.
A guarded survey response is a data limitation, not a verdict. A seat whose demands haven't been measured is labelled as assumed. We never imply evidence we don't have, and we never fill a gap with a guess.
AlignEQ tells you where to look and why. It does not move people, rate them, or decide for you. The judgement — and the conversation with the person — stays with the leader who knows them.
We work from behavioural profiles and the structure of the org, not from surveillance of individuals. We ask for what the model needs and no more, and what's connected is always visible to you.
Two people can each fit their seat and still be a bad pairing. The friction lives in the difference between their patterns — so we score the line, not just the boxes at either end.
Behavioural data is powerful and it is not the whole person. So AlignEQ is built to be checkable: every finding shows its evidence, every assumption is labelled as one, and every gap is shown rather than papered over. If we can't back a call, we don't make it.
